Things You'll Need
- Non-toxic glue Large sheet of thick Styrofoam Non-toxic water-based paint Knife Tape measure
Instructions
Take measurements of your cage. You will need to get the width from the inside of the cage and the height from the inside of the cage. Take the measurements in millimeters so that when creating your wall, the fitting will be almost perfect.
Take your Styrofoam piece and cut it based on your measurements so that it will slide down the back side of the cage. Be sure that it fits securely.
Pull the Styrofoam back out of the cage and using a knife, cut ridges and grooves into the front of the Styrofoam so that it looks like a rugged backdrop.
Using your water-based, non-toxic paint, paint the Styrofoam a gray color with a few hints of green and black (for moss). Let the Styrofoam dry.
Glue the Styrofoam onto the back of your reptile's cage using a non-toxic glue. Be sure that there are no gaps between the Styrofoam and the cage, as you do not want the reptile to end up stuck behind it or beside it. You must also be sure that when you put the lid on, there isn't a space as some reptiles can climb.
Allow the Styrofoam to dry before putting in your substrate and other decorative items.
Give your pet a new home.
