Instructions

    • 1

Find the lizard. It will be far easier to catch the lizard if it is trapped inside.

    • 2

Move towards the lizard with your container and stick. Do not advance too quickly, as you will scare the lizard. Approach it as quietly as possible.

    • 3

Place the bucket in front of the lizard. If the lizard gets scared, continue to place the container in front of it.

    • 4

Softly touch the back of the lizard, either on its back or tail. Do not poke the lizard too hard; you are only attempting to direct the lizard into the container. Continue trying this until you successfully capture the lizard in your container.

    • 5

Move the lizard into an appropriate container. If you don't have an appropriate container, use a shoe box or similar box. If you don't have one of these containers, make sure the container you captured the lizard with is tall enough to keep it from escaping.

    • 6

Put a small container of water in whatever you're keeping the lizard in (this will allow the lizard to keep cool). Feed the lizard crickets if you wish. Release the lizard into the wild after keeping it for a while to ensure its survival.
