What does a mousebird eat?

Mousebirds are primarily insectivores, meaning they mainly eat insects. Their diet consists of:

* Insects: A wide variety of insects, including beetles, grasshoppers, termites, caterpillars, and ants.

* Seeds: They will also eat seeds, especially during the dry season when insects are scarce.

* Fruits: Occasionally, they may eat soft fruits.

They are opportunistic feeders, meaning they will eat whatever is readily available. They have a strong beak adapted for picking up and cracking open insects.

Interestingly, unlike most birds, they don't drink water! They get their hydration from the insects they eat.
