Empty and wash the water bottle each day making sure no soap residue remains. Afterwards replenish with fresh drinking water and replace on the cage.
Clean all toys, ladders and wheel in the cage weekly. Wash with a mild soap making sure to scrub away any foreign material. A store bought disinfectant from your pet supplier should be applied then rinsed and wiped dry with paper towels.
Remove your pet mouse from its cage and place in a safe area. Make sure it can't escape or be in danger!
Empty and discard the old bedding from the bottom of the cage, then scrub with a mild soap or a store bought cage cleaner and dry with paper towels. The cleaners are spray on and work very well. Look for build-ups in the corner from urine, applying extra cleaning as needed. Replace with fresh bedding.
Spray or wash the cage walls or bars with paper towels making sure to wipe dry all surface areas well.
Replace all toys, bowls, water bottle and wheel. Don't forget the mouse!
