Things You'll Need
- Fleece
- Scissors
- Needle and thread
- String
Instructions
Cut a square out of a piece of fleece that is double the size of your mouse. If you have more than one mouse living in your cage, consider making it four times the size of one mouse.
Cut four strips of fleece that are 1 inch wide and 2 inches long. These will be the loops used to suspend the hammock.
Thread your needle and begin to sew one strip onto one of the corners. Place the strip so it overlaps the hammock's corner by 1/2 inch. Sew the strip onto the corner using the same technique you would to sew on a button. Turn the hammock over and place the other end of the strip so it overlaps the same corner by 1/2 inch and sew it in the same way to create a loop.
Repeat Step 3 for the remaining three corners. Hang the hammock up in your mouse's cage. To do this cut four pieces of thick string and thread one through each corner loop. Attach the string to the roof of your cage with a double knot.
To clean your new mouse hammock, simply untie the four corners and wash in your washing machine using a mild detergent.
