Instructions
Decide where you are going to place the mousetrap. This should be where you have seen evidence of a mouse. It should also be up high enough that your children and pets can't reach it.
Bait your mousetrap by placing bait on the trigger part of the trap. On most Tomcat models, the trigger is yellow and looks like a piece of cheese. Cheese or peanut butter can be used to attract the mouse to the trap.
Lay the trap in the location you chose in Step 1. Pull the U-shaped bar over to the other end of the mousetrap.
Place the curved end of the pin on the mousetrap into the trigger. You will need to lift it over the U-shaped bar. It will hold the U-shaped bar in place.
Wait for the trap to catch a mouse. When you remove the mouse, you should wear gloves to protect yourself from any diseases the mouse may be carrying.
