How active is a pet cottontail rabbit?
Cottontail rabbits are crepuscular, which means they are most active at dawn and dusk. They spend the day hiding in burrows or underbrush to avoid predators, and then come out to feed at night. Cottontail rabbits are very active and can run, jump, and hop quickly. They use their long hind legs to propel themselves forward, and their large ears help them to hear predators. Cottontail rabbits are also very good at hiding, and they can change their color to blend in with their surroundings.
