Things You'll Need
- Apple branches
Instructions
Take the animal to a vet for spaying or neutering. Hormones can contribute to behavior issues, so getting animal spayed or neutered can make it calmer. This makes it less territorial and biting less likely.
Let the bunny roam outside of its cage for at least 20 minutes a day so it gets used to your home. Watch the bunny carefully and give it an apple branch if it starts to chew on something inappropriate.
Pet the animal as often as possible so it learns your touch is helpful and not going to cause harm. For a skittish animal, slowly start to pet the top of its head and work your way down.
Study your rabbit to understand what causes the bad behavior. The bunny will most likely misbehave when stressed over food territorial issues or when scared. Try to limit the stress causes.
