Instructions
Lay out your 2-by-4's to prepare to construct the bottom frame. You will have two long pieces and two short pieces to connect at 90-degree angles.
Use the drill to connect the bottom pieces, drilling two screws.
Set the bottom frame aside for a moment and create the top frame in the same fashion. Set the top frame aside.
Add the sides of the frame by screwing four shorter 2-by-4's into the four corners of the bottom frame.
Place the top frame on top of the four supporting sides, securing them with your drill and screws.
Construct your door frame by screwing together the four remaining 2-by-4's.
Connect your door frame to the bunny cage frame by screwing the two door hinges first to the door frame at equal distances from the top and bottom of the door frame.
Turn the frame of the bunny cage on its side and attach the door frame to the cage frame.
Match your wire mesh pieces to the appropriate sides and secure with a staple gun. Ensure that you use wire clippers to trim any rough edges to avoid areas your bunny could snag itself on.
Finally, add your hook and eye latch by screwing into the door and to the frame. If you prefer, you can use two latches spaced at equal distances from the top and bottom.
Place hay inside and your large tub underneath to catch debris for easy cleaning.
