- Fruit tree twigs or logs
- Fresh produce
Instructions
Spend extra time with your rabbit. If the rabbit enjoys being petted or groomed, spend an extra half hour on this each day. Short-haired rabbits normally need brushing only once a week, but stroking or brushing your rabbit more often can be bonding.
Play with your rabbit. Some rabbits, especially young ones, enjoy this interaction. Let your rabbit chase you and then reciprocate, being careful not to scare him.
Give your rabbit new toys. Rabbits like things they can climb on, climb in and chew up. Cardboard boxes and non-toxic twigs are appropriate and inexpensive.
Provide occasional food treats. A piece of fruit once or twice a week is a good treat, although don't give too much: fruit can be fattening. Some rabbits love dandelions, which are nutritious, so spend a few minutes collecting some dandelion greens and flowers (before they turn to thistledown). Just ensure they have not been treated with pesticides.
