How to Make a Rabbit Toy Out of Cardboard

When providing your pet rabbit with toys, the main thing to remember is that your rabbit will play by picking up the toy and shaking it. Moreover, it will chew on its toy. Cut the cardboard into two rectangular strips approximately 5 inches long by 1 to 1 1/2 inches wide.

    • 2

Cut a slit in the middle of each rectangular strip. Cut it in the middle of the long side, halfway in. Do not cut the strip in half.

    • 3

Push the two strips together at their respective slits. This should make the pieces fit together and interlock like an "X" or a "+" sign. This shape will be easy for your rabbit to play with, to pick up and shake. As well, it provides several edges for chewing.
