Instructions
Cut the 1-by-2-inch boards to create two pieces that are 46 inches long and two pieces that are 24 inches long. Nail the 24-inch pieces to the ends of the 46-inch pieces to form a rectangular frame for the door.
Cut a piece of chicken wire that is 47 inches long and 25 inches wide using wire cutters. Wear gloves when handling the cut chicken wire, because the cut ends are sharp.
Secure the piece of chicken wire to the rectangular door frame with nails. Hammer in at least four nails along each side of the frame.
Attach the hook and eye assembly using the screws provided or 1-inch wood screws. Screw the hook into the 46-inch long bottom 1-by-2 piece. Screw the eye into the bottom of the outside door opening on the hutch.
Screw one side of the hinge assemblies to the top 46-inch piece of the door frame. Place one hinge on the far right of the top 1-by-2 piece and one on the far left. Use the screws provided in the hinge assemblies or use the wood screws.
Screw the other sides of the hinge assemblies to the top part of the door opening in the hutch. Ensure that the door swings outward and upward on the hinges.
