How to Make a Bunny Burrito

Despite what may first come to mind, a bunny burrito is not what's for dinner. The bunny burrito is a technique used to wrap your pet rabbit in a safe cocoon for the administration of medications or to clip his nails. If done correctly, the burrito wrap will prevent your rabbit from kicking, scratching and hopping away from the unwanted activity.

Instructions

    • 1

Spread the bath towel on the floor or table in front of you.

    • 2

Pick up your rabbit and place him across the width of the towel, in the center, with his bottom facing you. You will need at least 6 inches of towel to fold up over his behind, so position your rabbit accordingly.

    • 3

Pull the towel up and over your rabbit's bottom.

    • 4

Take the end of the towel to the left of your rabbit and fold it over his body. Tuck the ends of the towel under his right feet, front and back. Tucking is key to preventing an escape.

    • 5

Fold the right side of the towel over your rabbit and wrap it around his body.

    • 6

Pick up your rabbit and fold the ends of the towel back to expose his face. Now you can administer medication or trim his nails. Don't forget to give him a treat for being a good bunny.
