Things You'll Need
- Neat Ideas Cubes (NIC)
- Floor protection, such as plywood or plastic flooring
- Litter box
- Natural grass mats
Instructions
Assemble the NIC on top of the floor protection. The more space your rabbit has to roam around, the happier it will be. Remember as well that you need to be able to reach your pet, as well as its food, water and littler box, so plan accordingly. If you are assembling the pet's home on a concrete or tile floor, you don't need to worry about protecting the floor. The floor protection is there to prevent your pet from chewing on rugs or carpets and to prevent spilled water from draining through and staining or molding the carpet.
Set up the litter box in one corner of the pen. Locate the box where you can easily reach it to change the litter.
Layer the floor with grass mats. If needed, cut the mats to fit in corners. Place additional mats on any perches within the condo or pen. The mats are safe for the rabbit to chew on, inexpensive to purchase and easy to replace as needed to keep the pen clean.
