When does the female rabbit separate from her bunnies?
Rabbits are precocial, meaning they are born with fur, open eyes, and the ability to move around. However, they are still helpless and rely on their mother for food and protection. The mother rabbit, called a doe, will typically stay with her kits for about 4-6 weeks. At this point, the kits are fully weaned and able to fend for themselves. The doe will then separate from her kits and they will begin to live independently.
