Trauma:

- Hitting the nose on something

- Being scratched or bitten by another rat

- Rough handling

Tumors:

- Nasal tumors

- Pituitary tumors

Blood clotting disorders:

- Von Willebrand disease

- Hemophilia

Vitamin C deficiency:

- Scurvy
