Dairy items like yogurt with little to no added sugars can sometimes be given as an occasional treat in very small amounts, although even these should mostly be avoided.

Milk should not be a regular part of rats diets, if at all because they are unable to process the sugars within lactose and it can irritate a rat's tummy. Additionally, most dairy items aren't nutritionally important to a rat's diet.
