Instructions

    • 1

Tie the end of a 20-foot cotton rope to the base of a tree trunk.

    • 2

Tie the other end to a 4-inch wooden dowel. The wooden dowel gets trapped inside the crocodile and keeps it from escaping.

    • 3

Stuff the wooden dowel inside the body of a dead chicken. The rope extends from the chicken body.

    • 4

Place the trap near the shoreline of the water. Monitor the trap. Other animals might eat the bait rendering the trap ineffective.

    • 5

Wait for the crocodile to eat the bait. After the bait is eaten, wait one hour for the crocodile to start digesting the bait. The bait should be lodged in the crocodile's stomach.

    • 6

Examine the crocodile. It is trapped to the rope. Cut the rope with a knife after the examination is complete. The crocodile digests the rope and wood dowel.
