What does a mosasaurus eat?
A mosasaurus was a carnivore that lived during the Late Cretaceous period. It fed on a variety of marine animals, including fish, squid, and large marine reptiles such as plesiosaurs and turtles. Mosasaurus teeth were conical and varied in size, with some teeth being up to 5 inches long. These teeth were used to grasp and tear food, and the mosasaurus would often swallow its food whole. Mosasaurus also had a long, muscular tail that it used to help propel itself through the water and to strike at its prey.
