Here's why:
* Size difference: Elephants are incredibly large, weighing thousands of pounds. Mice are tiny in comparison.
* Strength: Elephants are incredibly strong animals, capable of crushing trees and lifting heavy objects. A mouse would be completely harmless to an elephant.
* Perception: Elephants have a very different perspective on the world than mice. They are not likely to even notice a tiny mouse, let alone be afraid of it.
It's more likely that an elephant would be curious about a mouse, or simply ignore it altogether.
