Instructions
Find a white ankle sock similar in size to your rodent's body. Cut the toe off the sock. This will be the hole your rodent's head will fit through once you slip the sock on. Just below the neck hole you've created, cut a small 1-inch slit, which your rodent's front legs will fit through. Measure the space between your rodent's armpits and hip flexors, and mark this measurement between your 1-inch slit and the back opening of the sock. Cut another 1-inch slit at this point, which is where your rodent's back legs will fit through.
Draw a black ring around the neck hole you cut. Draw a yellow ring next to it. Alternate between drawing black and yellow rings down the entire length of the sock. When you are finished, the coloring should resemble the body of a bumblebee.
Cut out two 1- to 2-inch butterfly wing shapes from the white felt. This wing shape should consist of a large "C" connected to a lowercase "c" below it.
Glue the wings on the opposite side of the two leg slits on your sock. Using a heavy-duty glue, attach the wings so that the flat side of each is touching, making the wings look somewhat symmetrical once they are glued to the sock.
Slip the sock over your rodent's body, ensuring that its head is poking out through the snipped toe, and its front and back legs are properly through the front and back slits.
