I have possums on my property and want to be able make them pets. Will a possum bite when approached by human?

It is not recommended to try to make possums or wild animals into pets. Although possums might not actively seek confrontation to hurt humans, they should generally not be approached. When cornered or threatened, opossums may bite or scratch as a way to defend themselves. Therefore, it is best to observe them from a safe distance without attempting to touch or interact with them.
