When are baby skunks weaned?

Baby skunks, called kits, are typically weaned at around 2 months old.

However, the exact weaning age can vary depending on factors like:

* Location: Skunks in different regions might have slightly different weaning times due to variations in climate and food availability.

* Litter size: Larger litters might be weaned slightly earlier as there is more competition for the mother's milk.

* Individual development: Some kits might develop faster than others, leading to earlier weaning.

While kits start to eat solid food alongside their mother's milk around 6 weeks old, they usually aren't fully weaned until around 8 weeks. They will stay with their mother for a few more weeks after that, learning survival skills before venturing out on their own.
