Where do humboldt penguins live?
The Humboldt penguin (Spheniscus humboldti) is a species of penguin native to the Pacific coast of South America. They are found along the coast of Chile and Peru, from approximately 5ºS to 41ºS latitude. Humboldt penguins prefer rocky shores and islands with guano deposits, and are found in areas with cool, nutrient-rich waters.
