Do apple snails eat baby fish?
Apple snails are omnivorous and opportunistic scavengers, meaning they will consume whatever organic material they can find, including plant matter, decaying animals, and small fish. In an aquaculture context, apple snails can definitely pose a threat to baby fish, as they may prey upon them. If you have apple snails in the same aquarium as your fish fry, it is recommended to provide plenty of hiding places for the fry and remove the snails promptly if they begin preying on the fish.
