Does a cougar eat snake?
Cougars have been known to eat snakes on occasion, but they are not a primary food source for these predators. Cougars primarily hunt deer, rabbits, and other small mammals. Snakes typically only make up a small percentage of their diet. There are few reported cases of cougars preying on snakes. While cougars are versatile predators and may occasionally eat snakes when the opportunity arises and other prey is scarce, they are not specialized snake eaters.
