Things You'll Need
- Common ball python
- Spider ball python (to breed)
Instructions
Find someone in your area who has a spider ball python. Post classified ads in the local newspaper. Join local reptile appreciation groups and express your desire to breed a spider ball python. If you have an exotic pet store in your area, contact a worker there and inquire about customers who may own a spider ball python.
Contact a breeder or a collector if you are unable to find a spider ball python on your own. To breed a clutch of spider ball pythons, you need one of the parents to be a spider ball python. Unless you are on very friendly terms with a breeder, be prepared to pay to breed your common ball python with a spider ball python.
Mate your common ball python with a spider ball python. The heterozygous for a spider ball python is dominant, meaning that half the clutch will be born as common ball pythons and half will be born as spider ball pythons.
