Are bobcats mean in the wild?

While bobcats are generally shy and reclusive animals, they can display aggressive behavior when provoked. They are territorial and will defend their space, or their young, if threatened. Bobcats tend to be more aggressive toward humans during daytime hours, when they are more likely to feel cornered or threatened.
