Instructions
Gather food for the wolf spider by collecting insects from outside or by purchasing them at your local pet store. Choose insects that are half the size of the wolf spider, for example, houseflies, caterpillars, smaller moths, crickets, and worms. All of the food you give a wolf spider should be alive.
Place the live insect inside your spider's terrarium and let the wolf spider do the rest. Wolf spiders like to hunt and capture their own prey and will likely do so by grabbing the prey, turning it over, and then biting it while holding it down. What the spider doesn't eat in one sitting it will probably come back to feast on at a later time.
Feed your wolf spider once every other day. If for some reason you forget to feed your spider or are away for a number of days, don't be alarmed. Wolf spiders are able to adjust their metabolism when there is a food shortage and can survive for more than a week without food.
