Where do fox squirrels live?

Fox squirrels are found primarily in eastern and central North America. Their range extends from the eastern United States to the Rocky Mountains, and as far south as Mexico. They are adaptable creatures and thrive in a variety of habitats, including:

* Deciduous forests: These provide them with shelter and food sources.

* Woodlands: Areas with trees offer nesting opportunities and abundant nuts.

* Parks and urban areas: They can adapt to human environments, especially where there are trees and food sources.

* Suburban areas: They can thrive in gardens and backyards with plenty of trees.

While they are mostly found in North America, they have also been introduced to other areas, such as Great Britain, where they have become an established population.
