How polar bears involved is male with his offspring?

Male polar bears play a limited role in raising their offspring. After mating, the male bear leaves the female to raise and care for the cubs on her own. The female bear gives birth to cubs in a maternity den, where they stay for several months until they are strong enough to venture out into the Arctic environment. They rely solely on their mother for warmth, food, and protection during this time.

Male polar bears do not participate in the denning process or in raising the cubs. They lead solitary lives and typically avoid contact with other polar bears, including their offspring. Polar bear cubs stay with their mother for about two and a half years until they are old enough to fend for themselves and learn to hunt and survive independently in the harsh Arctic conditions.
