How to Kill Tarantula Spiders

Although tarantulas contain poison, they do not produce enough to kill a human unless the human is allergic. They scare people because of their size and their hair. They prey on insects, small birds and rodents. Tarantulas can be found across the world and can live up to 20 years. If you find a tarantula and want to kill it, pesticides are available to kill them. Another humane solution would be to trap the tarantula and take it to your local pet store.

Instructions

    • 1

Mix 1 cup of Cypermethrin solution with 1 gallon of water in a large liquid sprayer. Demon QP, Talstar Professional, Demand and Delta Dust are all pesticides that are effective against tarantulas.

    • 2

Trap the tarantula by using a paper bowl or by isolating it. If you cannot do this, spray the area around the tarantula.

    • 3

Spray the tarantula directly with the solution and completely soak it.

    • 4

Let the solution absorb for five minutes. Watch the tarantula to make sure that it does not scurry away. The tarantula will die within a few minutes after contact.

    • 5

Dispose of the tarantula. Clean the area sprayed with the solution using warm water, dish detergent and a sponge. Rinse the area with water after cleaning.
