How do rhinos cool their body temperature?

Rhinos have several adaptations that help them cool their body temperature in hot climates:

* Mud wallowing: Rhinos frequently wallow in mud to cover their bodies with a layer of wet clay. As the mud dries, it evaporates, taking heat away from the rhino's body. The mud also helps to protect the rhino's skin from the sun and insects.

* Drinking water: Rhinos drink large amounts of water to stay hydrated. Water helps to regulate body temperature by absorbing heat and releasing it through sweat and evaporation.

* Flapping their ears: Rhinos have large, floppy ears that they can flap to increase air circulation around their bodies. This helps to cool them down by promoting the evaporation of sweat.

* Seeking shade: Rhinos seek out shade from the sun whenever possible. They may rest in trees or under overhangs to avoid the direct heat of the sun.

* Behavioral adaptations: Rhinos may also adjust their behavior to avoid the heat. For example, they may be more active at night or in the early morning when the temperatures are cooler.
