- Air-drying clay
- Sculpting tools
- Rolling pin
- Knife
- Toothpick
- Paint (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Clay: Knead the air-drying clay until it is soft and pliable. If the clay is too sticky, add a small amount of cornstarch.
2. Roll Out the Clay: Roll out the clay to a thickness of about 1/4 inch.
3. Cut Out the Basic Shape: Use a knife to cut out a basic wombat shape. The wombat should be about 3 inches long and 2 inches wide.
4. Add Details: Use sculpting tools to add details to the wombat, such as the eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. Use a toothpick to add small details, such as the claws.
5. Bake the Clay: If desired, you can bake the clay in a preheated oven at 250 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes. This will make the clay hard and durable.
6. Paint the Wombat: Once the clay is dry, you can paint it with acrylic paints to add details.
