Instructions
Line the bottom of a container with newspaper. Mix 2 tablespoons of oat tortoise food and 2 tablespoons of fish food. Put it into a small dish, then into the container.
Dump the adult crickets you intend to mate into the container. You can identify adult crickets by the wings on their backs. Ensure there are male and female crickets. Females have a needle pointing out of their rear ends.
Break apart an egg carton and place the pieces into the container. It doesn't matter how big the pieces are, as long as there are a few areas for the crickets to hide.
Rip of pieces of lettuce and place them inside the container. This will provide food and hydration.
Put coconut fiber into a 2-to 3-inch deep container. Dampen the fiber.
Put the fiber into the container. Keep it damp by occasionally spraying it with water. The female crickets will lay eggs in the fiber.
Take the container out after two-to-three days. Wait two-to-three weeks for the eggs to hatch.
Put the egg container into a larger container. Two-to-three weeks later, transfer them into an even larger container and toss in some torn lettuce for food and hydration. You can feed the crickets to the scorpions at any stage, but you will need to use fewer crickets if they are fully grown, about five weeks. The scorpion will likely eat one or two crickets each day.
