How did megaladon live?

Hunting:

Megalodon was an apex predator that primarily fed on large marine mammals, such as whales and seals. Its jaws could exert a bite force of up to 180,000 pounds per square inch, allowing it to crush the bones and cartilage of its prey.

Teeth:

Megalodon had a set of massive teeth, each measuring about 7 inches (18 centimeters) in length. These teeth were serrated, meaning they had a jagged edge, which helped to cut through flesh and bone. Megalodon's teeth were also constantly being replaced, so it could always maintain a sharp set.

Swimming:

Megalodon was an efficient swimmer, capable of reaching speeds of up to 20 miles per hour (32 kilometers per hour). Its powerful tail provided the thrust needed to propel it through the water, while its large dorsal fin helped to stabilize it.

Senses:

Megalodon had excellent eyesight, hearing, and smell, which allowed it to locate and track its prey. It also had a series of sensory cells called ampullae of Lorenzini, which were located on its snout. These cells could detect electrical signals emitted by other animals, helping Megalodon to find its prey.

Social Structure:

Megalodon is believed to have been a solitary creature, as there is no evidence of them forming social groups. It is possible that they may have come together to feed on large prey, but they did not appear to have any complex social interactions.
