How to Hang a Critter Canteen

Critter Canteens are a brand of water bottles designed for use with caged animals such as ferrets, gerbils, rabbits and guinea pigs. The canteens come in 4-ounce, 8-ounce and 32-ounce sizes. After you fill the bottle by unscrewing the cap and adding water, replace the cap and hang it in place on the outside of the animal's cage. The Critter Canteen comes with a wire for easy hanging.

      Pull the two prongs out on either end of the hanging wire so they can easily fit over the wires of the animal's cage.

      Stick the Critter Canteen's spout through the animal cage wires at your desired location. Hold the water bottle in place with your hand.

      Slip one prong of the hanging wire over the cage wire that falls closest to the midpoint of the bottle.

      Wrap the wire around to the other side of the bottle and slip the prong over the same cage wire as the other side to complete the hanging of the Critter Canteen.
