Vacuum
-
A vacuum or a wet-vac can remove pet odors, especially if you remove a urine puddle or feces immediately. It is important that you not use chemicals when vacuuming up pet odors, and just use cool water. Heat will help make an odor set in and more difficult to remove. After vacuuming the area, you can then apply a household chemical cleaner to the area.
Hydrogen Peroxide
-
Hydrogen peroxide has been helpful in cleaning up urine and pet odors left behind. Apply a small cap full of hydrogen peroxide to the area you are cleaning. After allowing the hydrogen peroxide to dry up, wipe up the area and the pet odor should be gone. Keep in mind, hydrogen peroxide has bleaching properties, so test a small amount in a certain area before applying a larger amount elsewhere.
