      Staple the first end of the chicken wire to the first wooden stake. Begin stapling at the bottom of the stake and work your way upward to ensure that the wire stays flush against the ground.

      Pull the chicken wire out to the next stake, and wrap it around the outside of the stake, keeping it pulled tight.

      Hold the chicken wire taut around the stake and begin stapling as before from the bottom to the top to secure the chicken wire tightly to the stake.
