How to Clean the Aquarium for Pet Hermit Crabs

Many people consider hermit crabs a popular low-maintenance companion. However, pet owners often mistake low-fuss for no-fuss. To ensure the overall health and well-being of your hermit crabs, you need to consider a few things about their diet and habitat. Learn how to clean your hermit crab's aquarium.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove your hermit crabs from their aquarium, and place them in a separate container. Be sure that the temporary habitat has smooth, relatively high sides so that the hermit crabs cannot escape. Likewise, do not place anything in their holding space that the hermit crabs can use to climb on and escape.
