When should you pick up your puppy?

Puppies should be picked up from their home when they are between 8-12 weeks old. This is when they are most receptive to training and socialization, and when they have developed enough physically to handle the transition. Puppies picked up before 8 weeks may have difficulty adjusting to their new home and may be more likely to develop behavioral problems.
