When should you take a puppy away from the litter?

Puppies should not be taken away from their mother until they are at least 8-10 weeks old. During this time, they learn crucial social skills by interacting with their littermates and their mother, and they develop physically and emotionally. Weaning begins around 3-4 weeks, but they still mostly get their nutrition from the mother. Puppies taken from their mother too early may experience behavioural issues, separation anxiety, and health problems. Always ensure responsible and ethical breeding practices when getting a puppy.
